Isis Irizarry is Hartford Legal Group’s newest attorney. Ms. Irizarry represents clients at various stages of immigration proceedings. As a native Spanish-speaker, Ms. Irizarry offers you the opportunity to communicate comfortably – in your own language – regarding your questions, the details of your case, the things that matter most to you. Whether you are meeting in the office, at an interview, or in immigration court, Ms. Irizarry makes sure to explain what is going on, what to expect, and what not to worry about.
Ms. Irizarry finds this particularly important for asylum seekers, because the success of your case requires you to discuss the reasons you fled your country. Although those memories are often painful, the legal process does not need to be painful. Ms. Irizarry aims to provide a space of comfort and safety as you familiarize her with their experiences, and as she works together with you to prepare the strongest possible presentation of your case.
Ms. Irizarry moved to Connecticut in 2006 for undergraduate studies, and she has been in CT ever since. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies from Trinity College, a Master of Arts in Spanish Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, from the University of Connecticut Graduate School, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Ms. Irizarry is licensed in Pennsylvania and is authorized to practice immigration and naturalization law in all 50 states and U.S. territories pursuant to 8 U.S. Code § 1292.1. Ms. Irizarry is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
